KOM: Sub 6kg, Super Stiff!

Frameset Pricing $3,990

Description

KOM, “King of Mountain”, this is the name of the most performance and lightweight frame ever built from Kuota. We have concentrated in less than 900 grams all the best technology and the most sophisticated materials. Long studies, simulations at computer, severe tests has engaged Kuota engineers for months. The result is now in your hands. A frame available in 5 sizes from 48 to 58 that satisfy the UNI EN 14781 norms for security and test.

The characteristics of the frame are: monocoque triangle, differentiated lamination, Kuota NanoTechnology carbon fibres, 3K4H high impact weave, BB with improved section, Kuota Super Drive head tube 1-1/4”, shortened 402 mm reactive rear carriage.

What you cant see in the pictures are the massive proportions of the Bottom Bracket or the oversized down tube. The KOM is incredibly deceptive. Its looks massively strong, and it is, but when you pick it up, its featherweight is almost laughable. The KOM rides like is looks - fast, stiff and precise. Its not a comfort bike, but its not uncomfortable either. Its a pure 100% stage race bike, able to handle the cobbles, cat 1 cols and crit corners like no other bike on the market. Its close cousin, the Kredo, delivers mush  the same riding characteristics. Its fair to say the the KOM is the King of the Kuota Range.

Combined with the Kuota CK01 Crankset and Reynolds KOM wheelset, the KOM weighs in at 5.9kg.

KOM is the Lightest Production bike on the market.
